Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students need access to hygienic and safe cleaning supplies in order to support Earth Day efforts around the school campus and school community. This Earth Day event will be the 1st resurgence of an outdoor cleaning event the school has held in a long time. Our students have been encouraged to sign up for the event. They have expressed the desire to show a positive presence in the community and to help out when they can. A project like this helps to build pride and helps to build a respect for the clean ups that other staff members do as their jobs. A project like this helps to build the understanding that the Earth’s care is truly in the hands of the future generations and it starts now with small and local efforts.
