Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My wonderful students live and attend school in an urban area. They come to school every day with positive attitudes and lots of enthusiasm to learn. They love to read and express their thoughts with their classmates. They want to be the best they can be.

My students have a tremendous love for reading, writing, and learning.

They are determined to succeed despite the odds.

I want to provide each one of them with the best instruction to help them achieve their academic goals.

My Project

I have requested high interest books from popular series such as National Geographic Readers, Cam Jansen, Ready, Freddy, along with other books I feel my students will be interested in reading. The books will be added to our classroom library. They will be used for read-alouds, during independent reading time, and as part of my lending library.

Students need these books to practice their reading comprehension strategies and to improve fluency.

Your kind donations will provide my students with books that will fascinate them and get them excited about reading.These additions to our library will help my students with their comprehension and will finally give them access to books that they will want to read from cover to cover.
