Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As our school's climate champion, I am always looking for ways for our teachers and students to continue being proactive in the mission to save our environment. Our teachers continue to weave climate change initiatives into our curriculums. Students have been recycling daily and assist the custodial staff with keeping the campus clean. However, as with taking care of the environment, we can ALL do more.

Our school is in desperate need of new, updated reading material that is focused on environmental awareness and climate change.

This Donors Choose project would help our school build a green library that all grade levels could access. We would receive interactive read alouds that would further the students' passion for the Earth. The project also has nonfiction texts for reference for the students to take further action. Please help our students build a beautiful new extension to our library that would be completely focused on taking care of the planet.
