This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

All students love to have a voice and a choice over their learning while in the art studio and having a variety of art supplies and art storage options for the students will give all students a well rounded art experience. I strive to create a safe space in the beginning of the school year so that we can then turn that safe reflective space into a brave reactive space where we feel comfortable to make mistakes and have fun with our learning of the art concepts.

I also give the students an art responsibility that rotates weekly like wipes manager to pass out wipes to clean our tables for the next group coming in and they love having the responsibility and feeling big.

This is why I have included the wipes and table spray so we can stay clean and safe from the many germs that may be going around at any given time in the elementary environment. It helps keep us clean and safe and it helps build a sense of responsibility all at the same time.
