Our Future's in the Books: ACT Prep for Deserving Students

My students need 125 copies of "Crash Course for the ACT," one of the most effective materials available to prepare for this crucial-for-college assessment.

My Students

I work with juniors and seniors on the cusp of greatness! Many of them come from diverse backgrounds and families that struggle to make ends meet. Several are immigrants, or the children of immigrants. Many will be the first person in their family to attend college. Despite their challenges, my students have big dreams.

Over 200 students chose to enroll in our school's new ACT Prep course this semester because they know how key college will be to their future success.

The students work with 4 teachers over the course of a semester in intensive practice. Performing well on the ACT will help these students to broaden their college possibilities and make it easier for them to qualify for scholarships. I want to put the most effective tools into these deserving students' hands. They are the future, and they deserve a bright one.

My Project

This book is one of the best resources we could give to our students. The author of "Crash Course for the ACT" has received a perfect score on the test at least 4 times, and his book provides a comprehensive and easy-to-understand approach to the ACT. The book contains numerous "game-changing" strategies and even a full practice test students can use. I used an earlier edition of this book myself as a student, and it was key to improving my ACT score to a level that helped me meet my own college goals. I want to make this excellent material available to all of the students I teach in ACT Prep.

Achieving a high score on the ACT test will make it exponentially easier for our low-income students to receive good college and scholarship opportunities.

For some of our students, a scholarship could literally make or break their plans for college and the future. They need to make the most of this chance they've been given!

We have over 200 students enrolled in ACT Prep this semester. This set of prep books will be added to our school library resources so that students in our prep course can check out the texts and use them to supplement the learning and practice they are receiving in school. The books will truly be an asset to our school and our students' college preparation, not only for this semester but for years to come.
