Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My bilingual 3rd grade classroom will have a brighter future. The materials I have chosen like comprehension kit and reading folders will help struggling students become successful and enthusiastic young readers. They will continue to develop skills in reading fiction and nonfiction, reading for details, making inferences, identifying themes, determining main idea, compare and contrast, and finding evidence in a text. I will utilize these materials in small group intervention, and also my students will utilize them in station rotation. The materials along with my explicit instruction will provide students with multiple opportunities for learning reading comprehension and vocabulary. My students need to be learning approximately seven words per day and having these resources will help them succeed in my classroom every day. I am preparing my scholars for a brighter future.
