My Project
Outdoor time is essential for students learning and development! Our Pre-K students need physical activity to boost their cognitive abilities and social emotional growth.
My students are very active, imaginative, curious and love to move their bodies while we are outside on our courtyard.
Due to the age restrictions on the playgrounds we have to provide activities for students on the courtyard which gets really hot! This sun shade would make it cooler and safer for them to enjoy the important outdoor time that they need each day.
We have lots of outdoor materials that we use on the courtyard so that students have options. We use materials that will help their gross motor skills but also fine motor, social emotional, and language skills. The storage bin would give us somewhere to store these items so they will be protected from the weather and elements and help them last for many years to come. I know my students and their materials would really benefit from being protected from the UV rays everyday!
