This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

An easel to make it easier! I work with my students in small groups quite often. An easel is going to make the teaching easier. Taking notes and displaying the big ideas will be just one step away, instead of in the front of the classroom!

My students are great!

They love to learn and are eager each morning to get to work. My students come from low income homes and would love to get to use an easel. They are great kids in need of extra pushes, but when they get an extra push they respond and do very well. I hope that a new easel will excite them and give them a little extra push.

My Project

The easel has many uses and many ways that the students can interact with it for learning. The main use of the easel will be for small group work at a table that seats six at the back of the classroom. I work with small groups for about an hour and 45 minutes out of each day. Within the small group we will be able to use the easel to display important information for the mini-lesson and learning will expand.

I am excited to see the smiles and excitement of my students when they first see our new classroom easel.
