Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students have demonstrated tremendous growth in social skills and academic development over the course of the current school year. They are receptive to almost everything and demonstrate extreme enthusiasm and joy when they are in school. However, there are moments when students can benefit from alone time to engaging in calming activities.

Creating a calming area in our classroom will help to empower students.

Students will be able to acknowledge and regulate feelings and emotions while engaged in outdoor sports, play, perusing books, lying on pillows or a rug, resting on a beanbag chair, or working out anxiety or energy on a peanut ball.
