This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

A young student learns best from experiential activities in which they have 'skin in the game' help me get my students their first class fish!

With a class fish, my students will learn the responsibility of having a pet; they will work on their understanding of living things and experience firsthand how interrelated human action is to nature.

With a class pet, my students will gain real-world experience of our dependent world. I hope that they will be able to learn and make decisions about how they interact with nature while keeping in mind their experience with their class pet.
