Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have added several options to help when it comes to Reading in our classroom. These items can be used in centers and small groups to help give the students tactile manipulatives to help decode and encode.

Kindergarten is such a great age because you see such huge growth in skills, some kids will be experiencing school for the first time and others are already reading!

This is my first year in Kindergarten and there is a focus on The Science of Reading. I have been attending trainings and going through Reading Academy and would like to incorporate these techniques and skills in my class.

While I have had some success, I have seen some of these items be very successful when teaching kids to read and I would love to add them to my classroom. I have also added a few things to help store these materials and a TPT gift card to be able to purchase some Science of Reading resources.

I envision using these items in centers and small groups to bring a more tactile approach to Reading and am so excited to see how these items will help further the childrens' reading and writing skills.
