My Students

The population my school serves is mostly minority students comprised of 70% Black Non-Hispanic (a vast majority of these are of Haitian-Creole descent), 22% Hispanic, 5% White Non-Hispanic, and 3% Asian/Indian/Multiracial.

The school as a whole is classified as a Title I school, which is a school with a high percentage of children from low-income families, to help ensure that all children meet challenging state academic standards.

We are designated as a STEM school and the students I personally teach are represented in our STEM-based magnet program.

My Project

I hope to provide much needed equipment resources for the sports we offer at our school sports program.

We have several teams in need such as Boys and Girls Soccer, Boys and Girls Track, Boys Softball and Girls Flag Football.

We are asking for catcher's gear for our softball team, balls and goalie jerseys for our soccer teams, play call wristbands and sideline cones for our flag football players and a scorers table to hold our scoreboard.

Due to the fact that we have limited funds and equipment as it is, this would be a great boost to our program.
