My Students

My student are nestled in a small town just outside Philadelphia. Once a bustling port along the Delaware River, filled with many mills, factories, and employment opportunities, now families struggle to find employment and opportunities. I am a new STEAM teacher. I have recently started this adventure after 22 years as a classroom teacher. I am now lucky enough to be a part of every students education from grades K-6. Although I have just started, all of my student’s attitude, excitement, and engagement levels have sky rocketed. I lay awake at night thinking of fun, innovative, and interactive activities to share with my students. My student love hands-on activities that challenge their curiosity and wonder. They ask questions and challenge both me and their fellow classmates to think outside the box! I am truly fortunate to have such an eclectic group of learner from all grade levels.

My Project

Collaboration is key in STEAM education. These workspaces will allow my students the opportunity to design, explore, create and learn as a collaborative team. My students will feel empowered and excited to have everything they need to be thinkers and fabricators right at their workspace and eliminate wasting precious instruction time. Their current workspace is lacking the essential characteristics that a student needs to be a collaborative, lifelong learner. Please consider helping these amazing students have a workspace they can feel excited and proud to use to one day change the world!
