Our Diaries Are a Disaster!

Help me give my students new copies of well-loved books in their favorite Dork Diaries and Diary of a Wimpy Kid book series.

My Project

The students at my school love to read! The Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Dork Diaries book series are among the most popular titles with our readers. Almost as soon as one of the copies of a book in those series is returned to our library, it is checked out again by someone else. While these books are being read--and loved--by many readers, they also are getting lots of wear and tear. We do our best to patch them up when needed, but some are damaged past the point of repair, and we need replacement copies.

This project will bring readers fresh copies of books in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Dork Diaries series to replace damaged ones and allow readers to continue to enjoy their favorite characters.

Reading stories with familiar characters helps readers build their understanding of plot structure and grow their confidence as readers, so that they want to come back for more. Having these frequently requested books available will capitalize on student interest and develop a lifelong love of reading. Your support is greatly appreciated!
