I work at an AMAZING Elementary school in Grand Prairie. My school is one of the smaller elementary schools in GP where many of my students come from the surrounding neighborhoods. My students are full of energy, loving, vibrant little human beings.
I have the privilege of teaching around 580 students (k-5th grade).
I have the exciting job of teaching our students how important it is to have an active healthy lifestyle. All of my students come into my gym everyday excited and eager to see which activity we will conquer that day. They always have positive attitudes and awesome sportsmanship which helps make my job fun everyday!
My Project
Receiving this colored powder for my 580 students will allow them to participate in a fun active activity that they normally would not have the opportunity to do. Many of my students only get to exercise while at school, either during PE or recess, so being able to exercise while also having fun throwing powder color in the air is something I want all my students to be able to participate in. Teaching students how important is it to exercise can be a challenge sometimes but showing them they can exercise at the same time as doing a fun activity will hopefully motivate them to live an active and healthy lifestyle. This is something that should be important to all.
