This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our school is located in an urban area of Allentown. My current classroom carpet has seen better days, and with class sizes going up, we don’t have enough space for everyone to sit together. We are very much in need of a new carpet where we can all explore, play, and learn together.
Children love coming up to the carpet!
They need different areas to sit in other than at their desks all day long. A carpet enables them to sit closer to the others in the classroom, which allows for better student collaboration.
We’ve needed a new carpet for years, and I’m grateful for any help towards meeting this goal! Thank you!
