My Students

I teach in a small, rural school, with only two third grade classes. That being said, I have a highly diverse classroom of learners! My students come from a variety of situations and opportunities.

In my classroom we are all teachers and we are all learners!

We all have something to share and something to learn.

My students have limited learning opportunities outside of school, so I wish to bring more opportunities into our classroom. My students thrive on new experiences.

My Project

We will be starting Daily 5 in my classroom this year. In order for my students to get the most out of Daily 5, they need a large selection of books at their disposal.

Books are a window into the world around us!

Books give us an opportunity to learn about new things, while giving us the practice to be better learners.

Without books and stories to inspire, some of my students will never know about the world around them. Books give us the opportunity to see the world in a new way.

We will use books to enhance our Daily 5 and give us a window into the world around us!
