My students are eager to learn and need materials to extend their learning. They love science and craft projects. Last year we were gifted with a loom and they are making mug mats already and doing a great job. I would like to provide them with a weekly dose of news to connect our classroom with the world. This will help with their reading and vocabulary.
Our goal is to have at least one dollar from every state in the United States so we can focus on geography too!.
My students are now "makers" thanks to donors who chose us! Please consider helping us now to provide materials to enrich their learning. My students come from a school with a great need for funding for materials. We are a stem school and make projects and do hands-on learning. I want to provide experiences that they would not normally receive without the help of DonorsChoose.
My Project
Different colors of Maysville Cotton Warp to warp our new loom will enable the students to choose a nice color for their project. In order to use our loom, we have to warp it and then put the weft fibers in going the other direction. Help us get the warp that we need to make our mug mats, scarves, placemats, etc. Scholastic News Grades 5/6 will enrich our class.
Rug Warp and Scholastic News will spice up our social studies and teach us new information about our world.
Kids love to have their own copy of Scholastic News to read and take home.
