Sometimes students cannot purchase all of their supplies for school. Our classroom needs notebooks for reading and writing workshop, dictionaries for editing, and a document camera to provide incredible visuals within the classroom.
The students of my class are an incredible group of young individuals who have not had the benefit of some of the materials and technologies that some schools take for granted.
My students range in age from 10 to 12 years old and are a dedicated group of children who will undoubtedly have a profound impact on the world in the near future.
My Project
My students need notebooks. Unfortunately many of them were unable to bring them in at the start of the school year; these books will be used during reading and writing workshops.
My students need dictionaries. These dictionaries will be placed in their writing baskets and used during writing workshop for the editing process.
Our classroom needs a document camera to visually display photographs, diagrams, charts and text passages. This piece of technology adds an incredible amount of interaction to all lessons, throughout all subjects.
Our classroom needs ink cartridges for our printer. This will allow us to print reports, projects and other important papers necessary for student growth.
This project will give my students the boost that they need to keep up with, and master, an increasingly difficult pre-middle school curriculum.
These tools will prepare them in the best way possible to succeed in every aspect of their young lives.
