Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our students were pleasantly surprised this year when 200 Kindle Fires were donated to our school! This has motivated our students to put their best foot forward every day to get prepared for the FCAT. This is why we are always striving to provide the materials they deserve in order to succeed!
Our students are our extended family at Team Success!
Being a Title I charter school, these kids come from low income households that sometimes restrict them from obtaining the basic necessities in order to perform their best in school. That's why we welcome our students with open arms; we want them to feel like they are at their home away from home.
We have different programs such as free breakfast and lunch, along with providing our students with food bags to take home with them over the weekend. We are all about giving our students the resources they need so they can feel properly equipped to tackle the course material they are given. By giving our all, we hope to see our students flourish into ambitious learners that reach their utmost potential in the years to come.
My Project
Imagine receiving brand new Kindle Fires for your classroom, opening many doors for your students to learn new things. Your students are bouncing off the walls, eager to use the Kindles. However, the Kindles are not protected by cases, and you are left with a considerable amount of damages incurred by the end of the year. This is what I face with the Kindle Fires that were just donated to our school.
Our school wants to be able to provide these invaluable devices for the students for many years to come, yet we may see that accidental damages will leave us with less Kindles to spread out to our kids every year. This is why I am requesting protective cases for my class set along with a rug to provide a softer space to use the Kindles on. You would be amazed with what a simple case and a rug can prevent!
By providing these Kindle Fire cases along with a rug, our classroom will be a safer place to use our Kindles.
We are always enforcing rules to keep our equipment safe, but you can never fully prevent an accident from happening. The materials I am asking for will give me peace of mind, knowing that our Kindles will be a little safer in the hands of our students.
