Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

With so many students in classrooms it can be difficult to make connections and learn about each student in addition to students getting to know about one another.

With these materials on my list, I will be able to create a "shout out" space in my classroom that will allow me to focus on my students, their work, and their interests in order to get to know them better throughout the year.

Activities such as student of the week, guess the student, student of the month, and highlighting specific interests as well as positive behavior will encourage friendships and allow me to get to know each student on a deeper level in a fun way.

Items such as butcher paper, hanging rods, and magnets will allow me to display all of our shout outs and impressive work. Playdoh will allow our class to participate in fun SEL and get to know you activities.
