Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My classroom consists of 27 wonderful and talented students! I am a second grade special education teacher that teaches students with disabilities in an Integrated Co-Teaching classroom. Our school is a wonderful learning community, here to serve children of all needs and capabilities.
The students in our school are amazing kids who face extreme challenges in and outside of the classroom due to high poverty.
We are Title 1 public school in New York. Around 99% of our students receive free and reduced lunch. We work hard to make our classroom a community and a family away from home. To make this happen, we have a variety of places in our classroom to learn in many different ways.
My Project
I am asking for a variety of basic classroom supplies. These basic supplies will allow my students to continue on the path toward second grade. They need chart paper, easel and post-its to complete engaging activities. These materials will be used every period of every single school day. We need chart paper to continue to write and design anchor charts to support the student's learning. I know school just started, but we desperately need these supplies!
These donations will totally impact the lives of my students.
These are supplies students need in the class in order to better enhance their learning.
