I need to participate in a 200-hour wellness, SEL, trauma-informed yoga teacher training focusing on the social-emotional wellness of our students, teachers, and parent community.

My Project

I have been in the education field for 19 years and am currently the supervisor of a middle school special education department. I am requesting funding to allow me to complete an intensive trauma-informed SEL, meditation, and yoga teacher training. I want to take the Breathe for Change 200-hour Wellness, SEL and Yoga Teacher Training to bring new SEL tools to my school, where it is becoming more evident each day that we are not doing enough for our students and families.

I will be a certified yoga teacher and will be able to bring trauma-informed yoga classes to our students, utilize mindfulness practices in our classroom, and provide students with autonomy over their own well-being.
