My Project
We have a variety of learning centers in our class. Each area has certain materials and furniture that enhance student learning. My students spend 2 hours and 20 minutes of the school day working in learning centers, so it is important to have safe, easily accessible materials and furniture to them to use.
Our current bookshelf is about 20 years old and needs to be replaced.
The wood is chipped and the books often fall through or get stuck in between the shelves.
Approximately 35% of my students are English Language Learners and they really benefit from looking at books in the classroom to help them learn. A new bookshelf would allow me to display the books so students are able to easily access them.
