This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are inquisitive, energetic and passionate. They are currently working on becoming better and faster readers. Our classroom library has been a wonderful asset in this endeavor. My students love our Reading Fridays time. This sacred time has not only helped my students foster their literacy but their love of reading as well.
Cicero said, "that a room without books is like a body without a soul." The soul of our classroom is rich and wondrous just like my students.
My Project
My students and I are fortunate to have access to such a rich classroom library. These books help my students practice their independent reading and gives them access to books that they normally would not have outside of school. As our library has grown, the need for a bookcase has grown.
Please help make our classroom space organized and give us a place for all of our wonderful books.
This bookcase would help us organize the books we currently have and give us a space for more books in the future. My students and I would forever be grateful for this addition to our classroom space.
