Our Attendance Will Be Popping This Year!

My Project

As a School Social Worker, ensuring that our students are attending school each day and are ready to learn is one of my top priorities. School attendance has been a challenge across many schools for the past several years, and at our school, we are working to create an environment where consistent school attendance is celebrated.

This project will help us provide our amazing students with some fun incentives when we meet our monthly and quarterly attendance goals.

Attending school on a consistent basis allows students to make academic growth, engage in positive social interactions, and develop important skills for learning inside and outside the classroom setting.

We are working to make our attendance "popping" this year with quarterly celebrations, monthly traveling panther cub trophies for our grade level top performers, and targeted interventions to help those students and families who need some extra supports to ensure students are getting to school each day. We are focused on a whole school approach to addressing chronic absenteeism and appreciate any support!
