My Project
My students absolutely love when it’s time for art. Their goal is to be the best artist they can be by expressing themselves and experimenting with various materials and supplies in the art room. Because my students are focusing on an elements of art and principles of design curriculum, they need important supplies to be successful. At the start of each project, my students always practice their masterpiece with expo makers and dry erase boards to help them feel confident before moving on to their paper. With new markers, my students can continue to let their ideas flow from the tip.
Whenever my students have learned a new concept, I create activities where they use materials, such as oil pastels, construction paper and glue, or watercolor paper to see what they have learned and mastered.
These materials are staple items in my classroom and they help my students continually build upon their artistic skills, fine motor skills, and more.
Since working with my students over the past few years, many of them have grown to enjoy art more and they have created artwork that they are proud of to be displayed throughout the school and for their parents to see.
