Help me give my students the supplies they need to continue making progress with their eye hand coordination, fine motor skills and writing.
They will greatly benefit from having school supplies at home during remote learning!
Hi, I am an occupational therapist working with our students individually, in groups and in the classroom setting.
My students have various challenges.
Some of them have difficulty coordinating their movements, and others need sensory input throughout the day to help them focus on the material they are learning. Despite their challenges, they are extremely motivated to overcome whatever it is, to learn and engage in school work.
My Project
Since the move to remote learning, I have set up my office at home to be able to show my students and their parents how to continue to improve their eye hand coordination, finger dexterity and writing skills. I have sent a list of supplies to parents they might need during our sessions. However, many of my students do not have basic supplies to work with. Providing them with materials and school supplies will greatly improve their ability to continue learning.
My students continue learning through summer school and will continue using those supplies even after the school year is over.
