My Project
I love how determined my students are to overcome their challenges and differences to succeed. How adaptive they are and their willingness to trial equipment and different strategies in order to improve their independence. Such as sensory tools (headphones, weighted items, tatile mediums, balance tools) to use in the classroom.
I love that my job brings back play and creativity to build foundational reading and writing skills necessary for success, such as learning their ABC's through puzzles and magnetic letters.
Adaptive writing tools to improve their pencil grip. Playing board and card games to address visual motor deficits while enhancing social skills with peers.
