My Students

My students love working with technology! Students who struggle academically are more engaged and connected to their learning when it is paired and integrated with technology and devices. First graders need the immediate feedback that technology provides to help them grow as learners.

I have 26 very energetic students in my class this year.

I have a wide range of academic abilities which makes planning difficult at times. My students come from different backgrounds. Some students are from low income families with single parents. Others come from more traditional homes with two parents and many available resources. Our classroom provides them with many opportunities to learn about each other and to accept and respect our differences.

My Project

Students will be able to use the Osmos during the Daily 5 which involves them working independently on activities related to reading and literacy. The Osmos would be used for word work skill practice such as decoding unknown words and mastering letter sounds including complex spelling patterns.

These donations will put technology in my students' hands that will advance their learning.

Many students crave interactive learning experiences, and I believe these devices will provide that.
