My students are special because they have a unique desire to want to learn. They face many challenges coming to school, but despite all the challenges our students and our school succeeds. Many of our students live in poverty and lack the many resources they need at home and at school to meet the needs of our changing society. We have students who attend our school who still don't have access to personal computers in their homes. Many students are able to use their parents smartphone as a means to connect with technology, but it is not a substitute for having a personal computer to complete homework assignments and learn more about the world around them.
My students have a desire to want to know more about our world and how it works.
I'm empowered to help teach them all they need to know to be able to interact in a society that focuses on Math, technology and science. When students have a desire to learn it helps to motivate me to make sure they have the tools they need, so they will be able to make an impact on their future.
My students need the Osmo kit to help them to prepare for financial stability in the future. The Osmo kit provides math activities along with games such as the Pizza Co. Game to prepare students for working and money manage success. The kit also provides opportunities for my students to learn coding. Learning to code will help my students to prepare as a 21st century learning in a society where technology is the wave of the future.
Financial literacy learned at an early age will increase the number of self-sufficient adults in the future.
By providing my students an opportunity to learn early math skills, coding skills and work ethics in a fun way will help them to be more financially conscious in the future. These materials will also give my students opportunities to learn how to use money and how to make change and become business savy. By using the Osmo my students will have a secure foundation of their finances and how they will have to work to provide for themselves.
