My Students

First grade is an exciting time! My students are becoming strong readers, writing a great amount, and becoming leaders within our schools. In my classroom, I have 13 students who are English Language Learners. For many of these students, they are the only english language speaker in their family.

My students thrive at school and love to learn.

They are loving, kind, and bright 6 and 7 year-olds who enjoy hands-on learning and technology. Despite the challenges that they face at home, each student comes to school ready to learn and excited for the day!

My Project

It is my hope to engage my students in new forms of educational technology using the Osmo Educational Play Kit. My students are naturally creative thinkers and often need a way to learn beyond paper and pencil. The Osmo System will bring learning to life by engaging my students in technology and manipulatives.

Many of my students lack access to technology within their homes; my goal is to not only provide access at school but to give students the opportunity to learn in new ways.

With an Osmo in our classroom, my students will be able to learn how to code, complete math activities that are fun and engaging and learn new vocabulary using game methods. The headphones will help my students to hear all of the amazing things that an Osmo can do!
