My Students

My students, coming from various backgrounds deserve the tools to help them achieve academically. 2019-2020 school year has been in session for three days and during this time, I have learned a lot about my 21 first graders.

I have witnessed students who are eager to begin a year that will be filled with engaging, creative, and collaborative activities.

Although my students attend a Title 1 school, they should be equipped with tools to help them achieve greatness with enthusiasm.

My Project

Last year, I purchased one complete Osmo set and used it in a workstation in my classroom. My students could not wait to rotate to that station. They were engaged and focused.

As I watched how engaged my students were when using Osmo, I knew I needed more.

Not only were they engaged, but they were also collaborating and helping each other solve challenging problems. The complete Osmo set provides activities that incorporate learning in all subject areas. It includes word building activities, numbers and tangram activities, coding, drawing, and various other activities. All components of Osmo will be used to enhance my students in becoming the best they can be. These sets will be used daily in my workstation during both literacy and math, plus free exploration time.
