Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My school is located in Deep South Texas and most of my students come from low socioeconomic status. Some of my students have never been in school or a daycare setting. It’s the beginning of their educational lives and sometimes requires a period of adjusting. Having hands-on manipulatives makes the transition for them a lot easier. My students will be learning while at the same time engaging in hands-on opportunities. It will be fun and entertaining for them. They will love to learn new things.

My Project

Please help my low-income students learn how to code, letter recognition and numbers. This kit will give students a different way to learn these concepts.

Students learn more when it is fun and engaging.

This project will allow students to develop critical thinking skills while coding. The Osmo Genius Starter kit will give my students a bridge to technology and hands-on learning.

This project will be used to help students in the 2021-2022 school year. All of the students are Hispanic and come from low socioeconomic status.
