OSMO Learning System for Students With Special Needs

Help me give my students the OSMO Learning System to aid my special needs learners with their understanding of core foundational math and spelling concepts.

My Students

I teach a variety of young learners with special needs. For some of these children school has been frustrating when being taught with traditional methods. When given the opportunity to use other more interactive and engaging methods they show an excitement for learning.

My students feel good about themselves when they participate with the same level of understanding as their peers.

These children have a desire to learn and understand and can excel when not being confined to a sit and listen method.

My Project

Technology is essential in student understanding. Students with special needs learn better through the use of technology with its interactive sensory experience. The OSMO Learning System will help to fill that learning style.

Students feel successful when they receive immediate feedback on their skill progress.

The OSMO Learning System will help to provide that feedback in ways that are encouraging as well as corrective. This method will remove the tired method of worksheets and red ink.

Students with special needs can lose focus and understanding when they are not directly engaged in their learning. I hope that the use of an interactive learning system can help to maintain focus, reinforce skills and provide confidence in learning.
