My students need the Osmo Genius Kit, Osmo's educational games, and an iPad to enhance their learning in the classroom and foster their STEM education.
If I could describe my students in only one word, it would be imaginative. My classroom consists of students who speak multiple languages, have learning disabilities, and many different lives at home. They push each other to make sure everyone is reaching their highest potential. My students are always working hard and want to be the best at everything they do. Their joy for learning is off the charts.
Half of the students in my classroom are still recovering and rebuilding their home from the impact of Hurricane Harvey.
The neighborhood that our school is located in flooded really badly. Seeing our community come together to help everyone get back on their feet was humbling. My students are so resilient, and have come back even stronger from this. I want to continue doing everything in my power to give these students anything and everything that can take their learning to the next level.
My Project
Technology is everywhere--entwined in almost every part of our culture. It affects how we live, work, play, and most importantly, learn. Osmo is a unique educational gaming accessory that opens up an iPad to the infinite possibilities of play. It is designed with reflective artificial intelligence that bridges the real and digital realms. Osmo fosters learning in key areas such as: creative problem solving, literacy, art, and STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics).
Integrating technology in the classroom is an effective way to connect with students of all learning styles.
These kits, their accessories, and the iPad will be used during our extended learning time. It will allow students to work independently or collaboratively in engaging activities that will challenge their thinking.

Coding Jam teaches advanced coding concepts and how to create music. Masterpiece teaches drawing and creative confidence. MindRacers teaches quick, strategic decision making, emotional intelligence, and sportsmanship. Monster teaches drawing skills and builds creative confidence. Newton fosters creative problem solving skills. Numbers teaches counting, addition, and multiplication. Pizza Co. teaches math, money, fractions, and non-verbal communication. Tangram fosters spatial reasoning skills. Words teaches spelling and critical thinking skills.
