Origami Fun!

Help me give my students materials to practice and enjoy the art of origami, as well as some other resources to help our classroom run smoothly.

FULLY FUNDED! Mr. Spasojevic's classroom raised $166

My Students

We are a diverse group of learners bring to our classroom a wealth of cultural backgrounds that connect different continents, religions, traditions and customs. Our dreams and aspirations are as varied as our backgrounds: sports, arts, acting, music, coding...

We are located in one of the wealthiest places on the planet, yet 80% of our students qualify for free or reduced lunch.

We need help in order to provide a wealth of resources that our students richly deserve! We also need supplies that will make our classroom runs smoother!

My Project

We are looking to add more art and fun into our classroom. The art of origami can help us with that, while also helping us get better at following directions, and at persevering.

Students love origami because it is fun, but also because it provides them a chance to express themselves artistically.

Teachers love origami because it is a great way to support students in developing skills in the area of following directions, working together, and in persevering when things become difficult. It is a win-win-win situation!

It will make our community stronger, and our classroom more vivid and more expressive!

In addition to that, we need some supplies to make our classroom run smoother. Pencils and sticky notes are always in need for our reading and writing lessons, and a laminator is important for a lot of our math work that can be reused so that we do not have to print it over and over. This way we can save paper! Oh, did I mentioned that our school laminator is mostly "out of sorts" and hard to get to?
