My Project
My project Organizing Second Graders is a project near and dear to my heart. My class is making a big jump from first grade to second grade and they need to learn how to get and keep all their materials organized. In third grade they will move classes, so I feel it is so important to have my students ready for that next step. I remember having the Trapper Keepers in middle school learning how to keep everything together and having everything I needed. It could be a struggle so I want to start with supporting my students in second grade.
Organization is a key to success and I want my students to be organized and ready to learn.
These supplies I have asked for in my project will help them with basic organization. They will learn how to keep their journals together and color coded ones will help for the different subjects. The homework folders will allow me to add homework helpers in the middle of the folder and have sides for each subject. I want to prepare my students for third grade and to be organized in second and these supplies will help my students do just that.
