Organizing Our Writing Center!

My students need a paper storage center, writing center, a lapboard supply center, and other materials to help our writing and supply center become more organized.

My Students

I teach a 1st grade and 2nd grade multi-age classroom at an urban school district in Washington. Many students at our school come from low socio-economic backgrounds and need all of the resources they can get at school!

I am a third-year teacher needing some help to organize my writing center area for students to be able to access the materials quickly and efficiently.

I would also make my classroom supply area more appealing and clearly labeled so that students do not spend time looking for supplies. Instead, students will be engaged and focused on their writing.

My Project

In this project, I have requested for a tabletop writing center, paper storage center, and other organizational/storage ideas for the supplies in our classroom. Because our classroom shares all of the materials and resources that we have, it is important to have a neatly set up supply station. Students should be able to know where to find all of the supplies instead of relying on the help of other to find the resources. These items will help to create an organized structure in our writing center.
