Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Children love to play, build, create, and explore. In Kindergarten, we provide them with many supplies to do their creating and exploring, but we desperately need to get organized!
Our school is a K-8, charter school in an urban area.
Our students are diverse and they all strive to be "civic-minded leaders, accomplished writers, and resilient lifelong learners." They are also the future explorers, artists, writers, and engineers. We dedicate classroom learning time to tinkering, making, and creating. Students follow their passions and participate in exploration activities during a time we call "Genius Hour".
My Project
The storage bins and organizers will help my young students keep their materials and supplies neatly organized and readily available in our interactive learning environment. They will also help students develop their organizational skills. They will learn how to plan, gather materials, create, and share what they've made. They will also learn to properly clean up and store materials for future projects.
These storage materials will help get our classroom organized in a way that supports and encourages ingenuity, exploration, and creativity.
