This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Having an organized preschool classroom sends important signals to children about "what there is to do and how to do it," says Marilou Hyson.
My preschoolers are a wonderful group of 24 children, they are three and four-years-old and eager to learn.
They have limited educational resources at home because they come from low-income households but they are very enthusiastic learners and happy children! My goal is to provide them with a positive environment at school where they can develop their natural curiosity and desire to learn about the world.
My Project
I'm requesting a space-maker storage unit with bins to organize the art materials in our class. My students will be able to independently access craft resources like stamps, tissue paper, and glue, quickly and easily! This shelf for our art supplies will keep our classroom neat and organized. It will empower students to get what they need when they need it! We are grateful for our art materials donated to us through DonorsChoose, but we need them easily accessible.
This project is important because organizational skills are the foundation to consistent and responsible learners in the classroom.
