I teach in a Title 1 school where my students come from a diverse background. They are excited to learn and often they don't have the same opportunies as students from wealthier families. My first graders have high energy and are becoming independent learners, deciding how to make wise choices, and sharing and being kind to their peers.
My students are book lovers whether they are reading or it is being read to them.
A favorite time of day for all of us is when we read a book together and then have discussions about life, making good choices, or learning new facts. They also love sending and receiving notes or mail with me. What a great way to encourage reading and writing!
My Project
My classroom has limited storage. So most of my student’s supplies are on bookshelves or sitting on tables. I would like to be able to separate their supplies into the different Plastic Shelf Bins and 10 Drawer Organizer Cart so that they can find what they need and be independent learners.
My students love to get mail.
So I also want to set up a mail center using the Compartment Literature Organizers where I can put their papers to go home, notes for them or their parents, and where they can deliver mail to me as well.
My students will use the Sony Headphones during our rotations for listening centers as well as educational apps.
