Organizing First Grade for Success!

Help me give my students and my future classroom the organization that it will need! These items will allow me to best utilize the classroom materials while providing my students structure, independence, and choice!

My Students

Most of my students are known as a geographical exception. Their parents opted to send their children to my school, instead of the school located where they live. They live in a rough part of our island and they can be a little rough themselves.

Despite it all they still have so much love to give and this is what continues to amaze me about them everyday.

These students have gone through so much in their young lives. I want to give the students at my school more resources and opportunities. They deserve an outlet and an opportunity to show the world just how amazing they truly are.

As a school we don't have a vast amount of funds to help support our students and our classrooms. My students have shown tremendous growth and are constantly wanting to learn, read, and experience more. I want the resources to help me provide the continuous, exciting learning that my students deserve!

My Project

The materials and supplies I am requesting for my students will be crucial for our classroom organization and the independence of my first grade students. We will need caddies and bins for community supplies that we can all share and care for. These bins and caddies will allow students to work together to access and care for the materials they need during class each day. The requested caddies and bins will also take up less space and time to maximize student learning.

In order to cultivate an environment with a deep love for reading, my school strongly encourages student choice in literacy.

Book bins would really help my students choose appropriate books that are not only at their instructional level but also one that truly interests them. The requested book display shelf will also provide my students the opportunity to visual and choose books that they find interesting!
