My students are creative, passionate learners who are already making a difference in our world. They believe in themselves and can do anything they set their minds to. Regardless of the challenges they face, they consistently rise to the occasion and persevere in completing tasks. I am honored to have the opportunity to be their teacher.

They are dreamers, thinkers, and doers. I want to ensure they have all the resources they need to be successful. It is my mission to provide my students with meaningful experiences so they can become independent thinkers with a passion for learning.
My Project
This year students, teachers, and families have to be more flexible than ever before. We have gone from distance learning to in-person learning, and back to distance learning within a matter of weeks. The odds are that this will continue to happen throughout the 2020-2021 school year. I want to ensure that my students and families are ready for learning whether it is in the classroom or at home. Together, we can do great things.
We have to make this work in order for our future to succeed.
Since beginning distance learning, I have watched each of my students struggle to find materials they need to engage in lessons that are being taught. Our grade-level team sends papers, booklets, and activity packets home each week, however, these items are not always easy for our students and families to locate when needed. Many parents are working from home and are doing their best to juggle parenting and teaching with their own job. It is challenging for everyone and I want to make it easier and more efficient.
My goal is to help students become more independent by providing all the materials they need for distance learning in one binder. It is my hope that by organizing documents into color-coded categories for each subject, students will be able to find what they need in a matter of seconds. This will help alleviate the stress caused when they are unable to find what they need. It will also ensure that more time will be allocated to meaningful instruction when we meet.
