Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My workroom is a cozy spot that my ELL students love to come and work in. Whether it is for small group instruction, a calming spot to complete their assessments, or just to come and practice conversational English. My students get to be themselves and feel proud of the progress they make while working in my workroom, and feel brave enough to participate when working in smaller groups. While they are working with me in my workroom, I really get to see the progress they make throughout the year and celebrate with them their accomplishments.

By donating to my project, you will not only help to organize the workroom for my students to find the items they need to work with, but you will also help them to continue to meet their goals for the school year.

I like my students to also be responsible for their learning. The items on my list will help the students independently find the items they need to use in my workroom without my assistance. While I am working with an individual student or a small group, the other students will be independent enough to go and get the items they will need at the time without having to ask me.
