My Students
My students are from all over New Jersey. Around eighty-five percent of our students are African-American, and the remainder are Hispanic and Caucasian. All of our students receive free or reduced-price lunch. I teach students who are in PreK. They love to learn but hate to read. They are often frustrated at our lack of available resources such as books, laptops, projectors, and sometimes even supplies! Please help me ensure that every child in my classroom receives the best materials to achieve optimal learning. Thank you!
My Project
The use of portfolios Binders in a special education classroom is very important for the students to start to gain independence by tracking their own work. These binders will be used for this. Our students have to start developing different life-skills. One of those life skills is keeping track of different documents. This skill transforms into t the life skill when they start receiving and tracking their financial and medical documents that are so very important to keep. These binders will help so many students learn to keep track and organized that will make their adult life a lot more efficient.
