This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love how curious and eager my students are to explore new ideas through reading and discussion. They come to class with diverse perspectives, and they’re always excited to dive into creative projects that challenge them to think critically and express themselves. My students are special because they’re incredibly resilient and work hard despite any obstacles they face outside the classroom.

Students thrive when given the tools to stay organized and the opportunity to bring their thoughts to life in creative ways.

The specific items I’m requesting will help my students stay focused and engaged. The three subject notebooks will allow them to organize their thoughts and reflections on the books we read, with sections dedicated to brainstorming, project planning, and personal reflections. The magnetic folder bins will keep their work in one place, ensuring their materials are easily accessible and not lost in the shuffle of daily school life. The poster board pack will be used for group projects where students can collaborate to visually present their analysis, ideas, and creative interpretations of the texts we study.

The goal of this project is to help students develop strong organizational skills while giving them a creative outlet to express their understanding of the literature we read. By staying organized and having the right materials, they can focus on higher-level thinking and deepen their engagement with the texts. These resources will make a significant difference in their ability to stay prepared and showcase their creativity.
