My Project
My classroom is an ICT class with over 60 percent of my students are from low income families from marginalized populations. Providing organized leveled books to shop from will support my students to develop their reading skills.
According to research, when readers read at their own pace, they are gaining experience to become fluent and learning new vocabulary.
Leveled reading helps familiarize students with reading and ensures readers' success as they slowly build up their reading strategies, which will result in better reading skills.
The organized library will provide early readers easy access to decodable books on their level.
