My Project
Welcome to my 4th grade classroom. In it you will find a curious and energetic bunch of 9 and 10 year-olds! We live in an area where more than half the families are low income. For some, school is their safe place.
One thing I strive to bring my students is lots of choices and most of all, I want them to feel like this is "their" classroom and not just mine that they come to.
Looking around, you can see that it is kid-friendly and welcoming. All supplies are readily available and they know they can grab what they need as they run out without asking. For this to work, organizing supplies works best which is why the different containers and lids are being requested.
Being 4th grade, we do a lot of our work on Chromebooks and finding a convenient way to organize and keep them charged is a challenge. The charging cart would help keep them all in one area and ensure that wires are not getting tangled.
The printer and card stock is a wonderful addition to display their work around the room. It will also be helpful to make pieces for different centers, such as colorful posters and task cards.
