I am head first into my 3rd year teaching and the students become more joyful each year. My fifth graders come in with a lot of energy every day. Each student has their own very colorful personality this year. With their bright colors comes very different learning styles which can be hard to match if you don't have the supplies in your room.
With students this caring, I want to be able to provide the materials they need and deserve.
Our students come from diverse backgrounds and should have equal opportunity to reach the learning goals put forth.
My Project
With being a new teacher, it is difficult to find the best way to organize my classroom for my students needs. As of right now, my three classes are using one big book case to store all of their materials for two subjects. This makes transitions extremely long since they are all housed in the same spot. Additionally, students binders and papers fall daily and just make a mess all over the shelves.
My students desperately need better organization in our room.
These materials wont just help them, but will help students for years to come.
By receiving the crates and bins students will be able to house their materials around the room instead of one central location. Also, the rolling cart will be able to move around the room depending on the needs of the day. Since I teach Math and Science, we need the moving cart to house resources (calculators, manipulatives, etc) for both subjects.
